Youth and the Quran: a Lifelong Friendship.

The people of the Quran are the people of Allah and his special ones.
….. Prophet Muhammad Salla Llahu Alayhi WaSallam (Ibn Majah).
{In a World of Distraction: In the modern world of screens and infinite scrolling, there is still one voice that speaks the truth and peace – the voice of the Quran. It does not wear out with time or fashion. It appeals directly to the heart}.
To young Muslims, the Quran is not a book to read but a friend to live with. It is there to lead when we are lost, to comfort when we are miserable and to give us strength when life is oppressive.
And when we repeat it, we are not reading words, but Allah talking to us, showing his light and mercy which directs our hearts.

A Light for the Youth
The Qur’an grows with us. As children, it is what lead us believe. Being young, it teaches us not to get confused and corrupt in the different world.
Allah says:
True, this Qur’an leads to the most upright. (Surah Al-Isra’: 9)
Taking fame, wealth, or fortune may not make one successful enough, but faith, patience, and truthfulness can.

Lessons and Living
We learn forgiveness from Prophet Yusuf (AS). It is taught by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to be courageous and to tell the truth when it is difficult; we read about Prophet Musa (AS).
These are not ancient tales; they reflect upon our lives. The Quran moulds us to be young people who reason, take care and have good morals.

Living with the Qur’an Every Day
Others only read the Quran during Ramadan, yet it should be a day-to-day companion. It is enough to read one verse with reflections and to be planted with faith.

The Prophet {S.A.W.} said:
The most excellent of you are people who study the Quran and preach it. (Bukhari)
Not to read it but to live it and to share it and make it manifest in our ways.

A Lifelong Friend
Quran has been an inseparable friend. It leads us in this world, secures us in the grave and pleads with us on the Day of Judgement. When we submit our youths to the Quran, it also gives us peace and honour.
The world will never be the same, but the words of Allah will never be forgotten.
Then keep them, keep them all, keep them and keep them.
